About me

My name is Danilo Giglitto and I come from Lentini, a town in Sicily, Italy.

12513887_10206011556349554_384727140835037528_oAfter a bachelor’s (2008) and a master’s degree (2011) in Sociology both from University of Catania, I moved to University of Aberdeen after being awarded the “Cultural Heritage and Digital Society” PhD scholarship (2013). I obtained my PhD in 2017 with a thesis titled Using wikis for intangible cultural heritage in Scotland: Suitability and empowerment.

Since 2017, I am a Research Associate at Kingston University London working on The Hilali Network.

Research interests
Cultural heritage, ethnography, research qualitative methods, human-computer interaction, internet, wiki.

What I like
Academia, correct punctuation, travelling, Scotland.

What I do not like
Peas, broccoli, a combination of these two.
